TEAM CHALLENGE
Rules
1. Team Formation
Each team must consist of 3 or 4 team members (Amateur only).
Youth MX (Any class)
Grand Prix (Any Class)
Hill Climb (Any Class)
4x4 Mud Bog (Any Class)
Riders may participate in only one team per season.
Riders must register individually in each of their respective classes - Youth MX (HERE), Grand Prix (HERE), Hill Climbs (HERE), Mud Bogs (HERE).
Teams must register with a team name (HERE) and designated team captain before the event.
Team members can race in as many individual classes as they wish but the only points that will count towards the team point standings will be for the 2-wheel class they signed up for as part of the team.
One team member is permitted to be both the driver in the mud bogs AND a competitor in a one of the 2-wheel races and have both scores count towards the Team Championship. This is the only way a 3-man team is possible.
Example:
ALLOWED - (Dad riding one class and driving the other)
Youth MX = Child
Grand Prix = Dad (Riding)
Hill Climb = Mom
4X4 Mud Bog = Dad (Driving)
NOT ALLOWED - (Riding multiple 2-wheel classes)
Youth MX = Child
Grand Prix = Dad (Riding)
Hill Climb = Dad (Riding)
4X4 Mud Bog = Mom
2. Scoring System
Points for individual placements and series rounds are based on the Wild Rose Championship Points System found (HERE).
Wild Rose Championship Rounds are worth double points.
Team round scores are based on the cumulative points of all team members in their respective races.
Tie breakers will be settled by who had the best result in the latest round.
DNF = 0 pts in that sport
3. throw away rounds
Top 7 (of 10) rounds will be counted towards the Wild Rose Team Championship. This allows the flexibility to miss up to three rounds in a season. If all 10 rounds are raced just throw out the lowest three scores.
4. Awards and Recognition
Top three teams at season end will receive Wild Rose Championship Team trophies.
Top scorer from each team will be displayed in results on page.
6. Conduct and Fair Play
All riders must adhere to the Wild Rose Championship Series general rules.
Unsportsmanlike behavior, intentional collisions, or violation of event rules will result in disqualification for the team itself but doesn’t effect the other team members individual results.
Teams are encouraged to support and mentor newer or younger riders/drivers regardless of team. We don’t want the “to cool for school” culture in our series.
7. Registration and Fees
As always spectator and race fees are 100% donation based.
Depending on location there MAY be a small 3rd party parking fee. We try to keep things as accessible as possible but some tracks have limited parking and neighbors are sometimes open to asking for a small donation to utilize their property for overflow parking.
